I just washed all my new christmas clothes and when I was taking them out of the washer I realized I had washed them in hot water. They probably wont all fit now. Anyone know how much clothes shrink by washing them in hot water? I usually wash my clothes in cold water and air dry them so they dont shrink but I just dont know if washing them in hot water will shrink them alot. I hope not.

As long as they're pre-shrunk clothes (Most are now-a-days) you'll be fine. I've been putting my uniforms in the wash on hot water for the past six months every day after work and they haven't gotten any smaller.

Let them air dry, most of the shrinkage happens in the dryer I've found.

My understanding is that the tailgate is more for NSFW type of stuff. So where does everyday questions like these go then? I would assume here in the general discussion where everyone can read it, not where only certain people that want to see the NSFW stuff can read it.

hot water only affect the color stay, its the temp of your dryer heat that will or will not make them shrink. Dry them on low and you should be fine.

Also the tailgateisnt the "lounge" its more like the bar. Its a place where we can post almost anything, and you have to accept access to it specifically because some people dont wanna be exposed to the content in there. Its the reason Jim closed it the way he did 2.5 yrs ago. The General Discussion is exactly that for discussions in General. Anything that wont be offensive.
