Automatic transmission flush

Howdy everyone, I’m going ta change the fluid/filter. 05 3.0L. Question, it came with a trans filter from the factory. The return line from the radiator, is it the top line? My other Fords it was always that line. Or should I dump the pan, tighten the screws back up, dump another 4 qts in it, run it, repeat?

You have to drop the pan to change the filter regardless...

Yes, return from cooler is top line on trans
Out to cooler is lower line on transmission
