Okay so this might not be the right place but....'88 2wd Regular cab with an automatic...has anybody swapped the "T" handle with a pistol grip?

The whole shifter or just the handle?
To just switch the handle you will have to somehow find a way to run the lockout or disable it. Really I don't think the stock shifter is long enough for a pistol shifter to feel right.
To switch the whole lever it is kind of a PITA but you can remove the lever and cut the rivets and more or less a flat plate to play with. Not sure how much selection there is out there for the A4LD though.
