Autoanything sucks ass!

I ordered a BBK 66M throttle body from them at the beginning of SEP, I was told it would be shipped out in 3 business days, on the third day I got an email saying it wasn't going to ship till the 14th!

(Keep in mind I need this part for my truck to run)

I say ok and wait it out, now today I just got an email that said the part won't ship till OCT 1st!!

What is the deal?

So I canceled the order and ordered the same part from Summit racing and they told me if it's not here tomorrow it will be here thursday.

Only bad part is with Autoanything I used a code and for it for $195, and with Summit I'm paying $230, but if paying an extra $30 gets me my f*cking part then it's worth it!

Anyways, just thought I'd share with everyone.

I've had Summit price match items in the past. Did you ask if they would?

I asked, they said it was a no go cause the price wasn't advertised.

Autoanythings advertised price was $229.99 same as Summit, but since I called them they took a dollar off and gave me free shipping.

So $228.99 to the door.

Like insurance, sometimes paying a little bit more for service is much better. I use RuffStuff Specialties by Dan F. Some of his parts I could eBay or find from another vendor, but he seriously kicks ass and has some of the best service around.

I'll pay a little bit more knowing that my s&*+ is gonna get to my door. Unlike USPS...

What's the BBK part #?

For the future, you could always call Brothers Performance. They are mainly a Mustang shop, but they are in bed with BBK. Pretty much next door IIRC. I would bet they would sell you anything that says BBK on it.

EDIT: I guess the owners of BBK is also an owner of Brothers Performance with his Brother, hence the name......

Ordered my part through Summit yesterday at about 3:30 pm, got it today at 10:30 am, they also gave me a free hat!

Already have the throttle body on, was pretty easy, hardest part was getting the throttle position sensor off, had to run to the shop and use the impact driver, one came out freely, the other stripped, so had to use the drill press on that one.

Got the truck idling around 950RPM, wanted to get it a little lower, but after getting some nice burn marks from sticking my hand through the belts I called it good enough :thefinger:
