Hello I have a 99 ford ranger 3.0 automatic and the front seal is leaking about an ounce or two after parking overnight. Anyone have an approximate cost to remove transmission and replace the seal then bolt it all back up? Thanks a bunch for all your help!

@jeffrn19701 Jeff, before spending $500 for labor, try this AT-205 RESEAL. Recommended by Scotty Kilmer. Video here:

Find it on AMAZON: ATP Automotive AT-205 Re-Seal Stops Leaks, 8 Ounce Bottle

Try the re-seal product ONCE. If it stops the leak, great. If not, don't keep trying the product, but get the seal replaced.

I have had poor results from almost every re-seal and stop-leak product I've ever tried. The majority are simply snake oil or, worse, can cause harm. Some of you might remember my posts warning against use of the radiator products. They don't seal leaks, but can and do clog radiators, causing overheating. Also, my dad's old Silverado had a significant rear main seal leak and nothing I tried made a difference.

That said, some people do swear by a few of these items. It can't hurt anything to try the ATP product once.
