Auto to manual 1354 done now have questions

check to make sure you have the linkage adjusted correctly

there isn't much play in the manual linkage.

linkage? all there is an arm that goes to the tcase. all that is adjustable is the "shift gate". the spindle bearings can make that noise? i thought they made more of a humming noise when the go bad

you also have the little bolt that holds the parts to the tranny and yes there is enough adjustment to need adjustin thats why the hole is slotted

ok i tried to adjust the shifter but it still makes a grinding nose (at lower speeds under 5-20mph) and the shifter will not go any farther forward into 2hi. is the case no good? what will happen if i keep driving it like this?
