? auto to 5 speed

how hard is it to do? is it just change transmission, put new pedals and steering column and change computer to a 5 speeds? oh and clutch master cylinder lol
please help anything will be great dont want to pay 3000 for a rebuild on a 4r44e

This is what i got for my 88 shouldsbe somewhat similar

-manual trans
-clutch/brake pedal assembly
-slave,clutch lines, master cylinder
-fluid reservoir
-manual flywheel
-Optional new shifter bushings $26.50 shipped allstategear.com
-optional but recommended rear main seal
-clutch kit
- manual trans computer
-5 quarts ATF
-orange high temp silicone

I did my swap for about $450.
 
wow thats alot cheaper thanks do you know if im gonna have to cut a hole for the shifter in the cab or is there a plate i can remove or replace with one from a truck with a 5 speed

It isn't that difficult, I just finished one.

Be sure to get everything from one donor if possible. Check under the dash for the clutch interlock plug to see which pedal, etc you will need, they are different between years. I recommend the later years with the interlock on the clutch rod if that is what the wiring dictates.
