My problem is im not sure which will be better for what im going to do my truck is a 1991 regular cab short bed 2wd I have a:
rebuild 5.0
efi out of a 5.0 ho mustang
a holset hx35 turbo
its only going to see 6-8 lbs of boost
t-5 or
c4
i have almost everything to go either way but im not sure what will work together the best. i prefer a manual but a auto is simpler to swap.
whats your opinion?

A T-5 is pretty weak, and that engine is going to make a lot of power. It's relatively inexpensive to build the C4 to handle whatever you can throw at it. A 5-speed will be more fun, but you'll get better times at the strip with an auto (depending on converter).

It really depends on what you want it for the most. Just something to play around with and drive on street and get in occasional race. Or are you wanting to get the most out of your setup. people say 5 speeds are more fun blah blah blah, I have just as much if not more fun with my c4, it does have a manual valve body. I would go with c4 just for fact it will make you faster on the street. check out my truck on youtube

auto for sure with a turbo. I agree the T5 isn't all that strong. An auto will be easier on the axle vs. a manual, holds more power, more consistant, keeps your boost from falling off and probably more things as well. I was in the same boat and thought a 5 speed would be more fun and I'm going back to a C6.

Honestly i have thanking more and more about the c4. I am wanting to go with a transgo stage 2 shift kit but i dont know the best place to get a rebuild kit from. Some kits i saw did not include the reverse band, what else might i need that is not normally included?
i found a few on ebay but im not sure of the quality.
where is the best place to get a master kit from?
Thanks

I'd go auto because you don't lose your boost when you shift.
