im waitin on money for manual hubs but for now i want to know if there should be a TON of grease packed inside the auto hubs by the way they are failing so this is why im askin(left me in less than a foot of water with no hope)

There should be only trace amounts in them. Only enough to coat the surfaces. Being packed like you said is most likely the reason they don't work.

yea thats what im guessin but just wanted to double check any suggestions on how to correct this i dont want to put the wrong cleaner in there and eat my bearing grease too. it was enough that is couldnt see the ring in the bottom i had to use my finger to remove some before i even knew there was one there.

You can take them apart, but chances are if you clean it out good with a rag it will be better than it was prior.
