that is the locker i'm looking at getting. idk if there is one cheaper, if so. let me know.

my main question is what is that thing like on the street for something as short as a b2? i've found a thread on here one time but it didn't really tell me much about the aussie. Thanks.

I have a lock right up front it's pretty clunky not sure I would want one in the back because you cant unhook it like the front.Another thing to do is an over stacked L/S like allend described on here somewhere.On the good side the Lock Right has done what they said it would every time i'm in something slippery both tires turn.

i'm gonna lock the front for sure, but i'm not building my d35 till spring probably. i wish i could afford an elocker for the rear.. what are other options for a selectable locker for the rear?

an ARB, but they're more than e-lockers, plus you gonna get on board air.....i'm probably gonna do a lock right f/r unless i find a real good deal on an e-locker.

that's about as cheap as i've seen for lock rights

i can't afford the arb. i'd love to have it but... something about working part time and paying for college begs to differ. so i'm thinking i'll try the aussie unless someone can convince me not to. lol.

yeah, i'm paying off college and i work at autozone, so my funds department is real low too. a selectable locker would be sweet, i hope to have one one day, but i can deal with some clunking to save some $$$, plus it's not my DD

my buddy ran a detroit in his CJ7 during high school, made a shit ton of noise when he turned, but it did great offroad and never broke anything....he'd pull a wheel every now and then cause it wouldnt disengage on a turn, but it didnt hurt anything - different locker i know, but it operates similarly to the aussie or lock right

The ARB compressor does not give you onboard air. It is about worthless for anything else. I know a LOT of people who have ARBs, none have used it for that purpose - all either have PowerTanks or A/C conversion setups.

I can tell you from experience fixing other people's stuff on the trail that the ARB is cool but not very reliable. There are a shit load of parts, seals, air lines, etc. Seal starts leaking inside the diff and it stops working. I would look at a tight trac-lock, Detroit, or electric locker for reliability. Or just buck up and buy a lunchbox locker, take your pick of any... Aussie and the Spartan are supposed to be pretty good.

yeah, from what i've heard i'm getting the aussie. i might look at the spartan. depending on the price. most places seem to be out of the aussie for the 8.8

Don't believe there is a Spartan for the 8.8.

I love my Aussies, I prefer them over the Lock-Right and No-Slip.

Hey 4.0. I put an aussie in the front of my buddies XJ. Your gonna be chirpin tires a lot. Its great in the front, can't even feel it when your not in 4wd. But the instant its engaged on anything but soft dirt, its jarring you pretty bad. I'd say compact the L/S and see where that gets you for now. If its not good enough then I'd go for an aussie.
