Audio NEWB


so a head unit with 4volt pre-out and DAT/DTA..i'm learning! the D-stuff will let me choose the output level..thats smart haha..and my gf has OCD an i'm REAL particular about my sound systems..soon i'll have the coin to invest into it, so thats why i want to learn now

TA or time alignment is a great tool to have espically when your running component speakers off axis (not mounted right next to each other) with my pioneer i can adjust the distance/delay between the midrange and tweeter to make up for the fact the the tweeter is much higher in the door and much closer to where you sit.

Make sure when you set it up to measure the speaker distance correctly instead of just guessing, or many pioneers have automaic TA and Eq where you set a microphone on your drivers headrest and it will do 90% of the tuning for you.

Alpine also has this but you have to have a external imprint processor and once you run the auto ta/eq its locked in so you cant make any more adjustments.
