ATV's and Rangers.... compatible or not?

I own a 2008 Ranger FX4 and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not a quad could fit in the truck bed (wheel wells limit bed width). I'm guessing that an ATV with enough ground clearance could be driven over the wheel wells without high-centering, but I have no photos or information to confirm my suspicions...

If anyone has photos/comments/answers, please contact me directly at my hotmail account: devolutiondrummer@hotmail.com

Cheers,

Len

I once hauled an atv in the 1995 Ranger I used to own and managed to get the front tires up and passed the wheel wells and I was able to haul it to where I was going and was able to even put the tail gate up.

I have a 92 honda TRX250X it'll fit in the back of all the rangers i have owned, 83,86 and 90
It's prob. smaller then most quads made today though.

ive carried a raptor, blaster, 400ex, banshee, and several others all in the back of my 98'. most you have to lift front tires over the wheel wells and all but the banshee, due to the plus 6 swingarm, fit with the tailgate up. even with the 3.0 still had enough power to pull a small trailer with 2 more quads on it.

O yeah, had a kawasaki 400 and honda 450 in the back. Just pop the front tires over the wheel wels.

my yamaha timberwolf will fit between the wheel wells and makes exclent weight for the snowey pennsyvina winters...:icon_thumby:

She sure as hell didn't like it but my 83 had a 99 warrior with a +2 rear axle, and a dr250 dirtbike in it. We cruised from south jersey out to bristol pa and had no problems!

Raptor 660 In the back of my 97 last summer. Rode it up over the wheel wells to get it to sit nice. P.S. A Modded Raptor is about the sickest quad I've ever ridden.

My quad wont fit in my stepside :( lol

Altho i have a ranger trailer it will fit in:)

My Polaris 4x4 fits fine.

Get a good set of ramps though. Makes loading/unloading much easier.

When I was walking back to my apartment from the school library just now I saw a polaris snowmobile hanging out of the back of a ford ranger xlt supercab with a sidestep.... it looked pretty damn funny. If you can fit that in the back of the rig then a quad should fit no problem

I've hauled a Suzuki Ozark 250 in the bed of my Splash with a little room for something bigger.

I can fit the YFZ450 in the box of my 08 FX4 with the tailgate closed
