ATTN: Owners of 87 ranger w/ A4LD

I need some help guys. I know what I'm thinking, and I think it works, I just need a picture of a first gen with the A4LD auto trans t be sure.

The particular area of the truck I'd like to see is the outer frame rail, right where the transmission cross member goes under the truck. I want to see where your ears are mounted.

If ears meaning the transmission crossmember mounts - mine on my '88 A4LD were in the back set of holes. I had to move mine to the forward holes for the AOD when I did my 5.0L swap.

Thank you Pete. That is basically what I wanted to know.

The T-K and FM145 transmission use the forward set of holes, all '88-up RBV transmissions use the rear set of holes.

But frankly I'd remove the crossmember and the ars and donate them to the nearest scrap pile and swap in a 1991-94 Explorer transmission crossmember.
