Attention all Washington state members

If you are planning on going, you can probably ride with me (as long as you aren't some rapist or something, haha). I will just not offer shotgun to anybody else. My house is about 2 miles out of the way from the turn to get up there (in Buckely). If you rode with me, then you could just park at my house, that way you don't have to worry about parking it somewhere else.

If you want to do that, I can PM you my address. It would cut 30min. or more off of your drive.

EDIT: RhainyC, I'd offer to give you a ride for the day, but giving some 47 y/o lady I've never met, a ride for a day, I don't think would go over very well with my parents...

Maybe it would be a good idea for everyone to meet up in Buckley or some other centralized location. I was thinking somewhat early because it gets dark so early. Like 8:00am or so. Would that work for ya'll?

That would be cool too.

My mom's kinda being lame.

"Is there going to be alcohol?"
"I don't even know these people"
"It's so far away"

...moms.

Oh, there's going to be tons of booze!!! haha
I don't drink, and wouldn't even if you handed one to me... Not mention why would we drink, and then get in the car and drive up where there are Sherrifs? underage drinking, that's something I want on my record!

A meeting point would be good to me. Somewhere along the highway in Buckley would probably best, like you said. Anytime is fine with me, preferably 8-9am. Only takes me 5-10 minutes to get to Buckley though.

I'm not going to be drinking. I don't know about the others, but with the amount of rangers and other law enforcement up there it's NOT a good idea. That would be a shame if she didn't you go. My mom was the same way dude. I understand though, she doesn't want to lose her son or anything. Just be reallllly nice to her. As you should be anyway.

How bout 8:30, Buckley? Im not too familiar with Buckley, know of a good spot?

I am always nice. =]

Only child, and single mom.

We are like best friends.

I would not trade it for anything.

Uhh... Buckley is just basicly a town on either side of the highway, haha. There are a few gas stations along the highway, most all of them are on the left (unless you're coming from enumclaw, then they're on your right).

I think there is a somewhat large parking lot, not sure what it's for, then there are two gas stations, and then a grocery store/ strip mall (I think that's the name for it) with a parking lot. They are in that order, with a few buildings in between each, if I remember correctly.

I'd have to drive back through there to remember where everything is. But I'm thinking probably that first parking lot area.

And, 8:30 works for me, not sure about other people. It's nice to get up there before everybody else does. I don't think we'd be up there clear untill 5/dark though. That is alot of snow wheeling.

Do not take a stock rig on the trails at evans in the snow.. You'd be hard pressed to take a stock ranger thought them right now without much damage... let alone in the snow.

You have to be street legal to be on the forrest service roads, which you have to take at some point to connect the trails.

Elbe would be a far better choice in the snow (not the busywild) and tahuya would be best with a bunch of stockers.

Hmmm, where is Tahuya and Elbe? Never heard of them. Does they have some semi-challenging trails? I'm kinda new to Wa. Evans is the only place I'v been up here.

I think that evans would be best to save for a summer run. WHy not a place farther out like the elbe hills or farther out in the foothills were we dont have to deal with BS enforcement.

I woulnt be drinking . I dont drink and drive thats a good way to make sure you roll the rig

I'm open to whatever. I like the idea of this, but it did say in there "open when snow free".... That could be a problem. We have two monthes to make a unanamous decision on this. I don't want this to be a pain in the ass for anyone, I'll look into the Elbe hills, talk to the department of natural resourses and see what the deal is. It does look like a pretty cool place. It's kinda up to all of us who are going though, to come to a conclusion. I'll post up info on it as soon as I get ahold of DNR.

elbe dosent get as much snow. evans is a little higher up in elevation
