As title states.

Having a buddy help me bleed my clutch, he somehow mixed DOT3 brake fluid and ATF up.

How screwed am I?

Is there anyway to clean it out?

Thanks,
Chris

Well the ATF will pretty much ruin any rubber seals.

Bleed it very thoroughly with clean DOT3 and try your luck.

We had a customer come in that had been told it was ok to put ATF in her brake system by a 'mechanic', what a mess that was. I think the total bill was around $2000. New master cylinder, ABS HCU, all flex lines, calipers and wheel cylinders.

You're screwed.

Might as well change change everything now.

Sure it does. If you've got the right sense of humour it does. =]

Does your friend also mix his own piss with his beer too?

I could not tell you.

I get a 50% discount at Carquest because I attend the Auto college by them.

Gonna get a new master and slave.

I did not see connecting hoses listed.

Can I just flush the old ones and reuse them?

Also, I don't know how the hell to get this clutch pressure fitting out of the slave.
I have the little Fork shaped tool but it is NOT working....

the master cylinder SHOULD include the little rubber hose to connect it to the reservoir

The pressure line has seals inside the dry break coupling that could be damaged.

Frankly I'd not worry about if your friend drinks mixtures of piss and beer.
I'd serve him up a glass of warm piss and tell him to drink up.

That is if he didn't pay for the screw up.

He did.

I have a new master and slave.

The master did come with the hose for the reservoir.

How do I go about cleaning the line down to the slave from the master?
