ATF added to oil

ask yourselves, what's the viscosity of any ATF? Then ask why is it a bad thing to mix engine oil viscosities? Then ask yourself if the damage you do to the metal on metal surfaces for an alleged cleaning are worth it, if so then cool enjoy your engine while you can.

small amounts of atf in an engine wont hurt anything.

we use atf to free sticky lifters and valves. it works fine.

for cleaning. im not so sure. but i know first hand it wont hurt an engine. just dont pour more than half a quart in.

Has anyone ever heard of using kerosene instead of ATF? I remember and old mechanic doing it to my "66 Ford years ago and it ran good and quieted down a whole lot.
