Armorall?

I quote, “turned the corner, slid across the god damn seat, and hit the passenger side door.”

“Sounds like you should be wearing your seat belt”…….

Easy enough to do that on a cloth bench seat if you take a turn good.

I used to use armor all thinking it would protect the tires from weather cracking. Ive never had tires weather crack worse than after I used it weekly for a whole summer. Just washing the tires when I wash the truck then keeping it inside the garage when its not being drove seems to be better for the tires and plastics. I use windex to clean the interior myself.

When I worked for Michelin, they taught us that the yellowish residue that builds on the sidewalls actually protects the tires from UV. So, all these people who scrub and clean their tires and make them shine are making them more susceptible to damage from the sun.

There's a lot of UV and high temperatures here. I can't say cracking tires is a problem. Maybe it's due to chemical deicing.

I believe "Armor All" has changed the formula, or at least offers a different "Low sheen w/UV protection" in their arsenal. That being said, I've been using "Chemical Brothers" kits and they seem to be fine.

i don't do the tires and they seemed fine on all past vehicles

Been using Armor All on my tires for 40+ and never had a problem. Scrub with Bleach White and top with Armor All.
I don't use it on everything though. Quit using it on the dash because as the sun bakes it off it fogs the windshield. Only put it on the tonneau for shows as rain washes it off it makes streaks down the side of the bed.
303 is better but awful pricey.
Armor All won't last at all on grey/black exterior trim. Mother's Back To Black is better but it wears off too. I had a Sport Trac before and they're loaded with black plastic trim. I ended up just masking it off, wipe with acetone, and painted the flares, bed tops, bumpers, and step bars with Krylon Fusion Satin Black. The fender flares are easier if you slide playing cards between the fender and the flare. I still taped some newspaper above the cards.
