Its been a while...but what do yall think would win in a 1/4 mi bout....

97 F250 HD 460/E4OD/4.10/2wd. Ext cab long box

VS.

02 Silverado HD 6.0/4L80/4.10/4wd. ext cab/short box.

We did run them kind of once, the silvy won but i had a bad start and he had a 15 mph roll on me.

Input?

Eh, I'd fall asleep before either of them made it to the finish line... :icon_rofl:

We arnt racing 2.3 rangers here....

I know... A 2.3 ranger would have won the race with enough time to go get gas and rotate the tires before either of those lumbering dinosaurs crossed the finish line. :icon_rofl:

6 liter LS has probably 140 HP on you without a tune so....

460 wins at tug of war all day, but horsepower wins at hard surface straight line racing. Though you should be able to get out on him off the line pretty good from a dead start (if he doesn't know how to launch in 4wd)

I wish I could fall asleep that quick..... I'd still be awake watching them cross the finish line when the sun came up.

I can tell you that a 3.5 Ecoboost will outrun a Cummins though.

Alright. Yall made your point without directly saying it.

Guess if we do this 10k lbs and a steep hill need to be involved.

Even then, I think the other driver will be asleep at the finish line when you catch up.

I had a 83 f-100 with a 460/c6 in it. The truck did great burnouts and would pull a house but I wouldnt even try to race it against my ford fiesta... It was a slow old dinosaur.

GM has probably similar torque, more hp and if like most GM's in my area the lack of rockers and wheel arches probably makes it lighter. Newer trans is probably more efficient.

If his frame can take it you are probably in for a hurting.
