Aren't wrecks just so much fun?

Got in this little fender bender today, I was pissed and upset beyond belief. This road is BARELY big enough for two cars and the fact that it's a 90 degree turn and it had been raining didn't help. Plus having a big ass thing of overgrown bushes and trees helps your visibility by so much.

I have no idea what I broke in that last picture, but as you can see my bumper, lower valence and turn signal are busted. Other than that the Ranger is fine, it started. Their car started and was drivable PLUS they lived 20 feet away, since the husband walked to their garage and took some stuff in. BUT they still had it TOWED across town though, which was awesome. I love wrecks.

so whos at fault? the bushes? The pontiac? Sorry about your truck.

They are considering it my fault, since I wasn't completely in my lane. Everyone is completely disregarding that the speed limit is 30 and I was doing 20 while she was around 35. She just saw me before I saw her so she was in the process of stopping. I had those bushes so I couldn't see shit.

My airbags deployed and I smacked my head/face on the steering wheel pretty hard. I didn't even realize what had happened until I got out of the truck, completely in shock. I just leaned against the truck bed with my ears ringing and had to take a few minutes to process everything. I've never been in a wreck hard enough to have the airbags deploy before.

i would get a picture of the turn from whatever your perspective was and complain to the city that they need to trim the bushes back

I did and we are. The turn is ridiculous, you can't see the other side until you're already there.

And does anyone know what I broke in that picture? The tie rod snapped off, but what did it break off of? My hub?

The spindle.. time for lift!

Are those pricey?

Edit: I just did some pricing and they are indeed expensive. Super freaking sweet, exactly what a college kid needs. An increase in insurance and paying out the ass for parts.

As flyingbrick said, That is the knuckle that is broke.

I might have a good marker light for that side, I'll have to look.... I've...err... kinda broke a couple...

I'd look at trying to get one of those spindles from a junkyard, usually way cheaper than new.

Aside from that, I'd either try to pull the bumper out or if all else fails just wack it off on both sides at the outside of the frame rail and leave it till I could afford to replace the bumper. The fogs should unplug, I'd just tuck the wires up in there for now.

Bummer bout wrecking though, I'd deff try to get something done over the bushes an crap, but I know what it's like to be the poor college kid that gets screwed over... But that's a story in an of itself (if you really want to know, just ask).

Dude that poor awesomeness ranger! I am so sorry to see this! I am glad you didnt die, looks BADDD

I'm slightly confused. What is the name of the part I need?

The tie rod is fine, but it's what it was attached to. Is it called a spindle or a knuckle? I've been given mixed results when searching online. I'd like to buy it as soon as possible, I have the money and it took my dad about 30 minutes to get the old one off without any know-how. I'd like to drive the Ranger again as soon as possible. Right now I'm in our old Exploder.
