Aren't wrecks just so much fun?

I'd say knuckle, but I could be wrong; I don't know the names for all them tricky IFS parts.

It's the big cast iron thing that the rim mounted on to, kind of. When I turn the steering wheel, the left wheel doesn't move, so I'm assuming I've broken off the main tie rod from whatever it was.

Depending on who you talk to it'll be called a knuckle or spindle. Technically it should be a knuckle on a 4x4 because the actual spindle usually bolts to the knuckle, but on the newer 2wds they call the knuckle the spindle, so I imagine people will interchange the proper name on the 4x4s too.

Excellent. Would it be safe to assume places like O'Reillys can order a part like that or would I have to search online for it?

I know that buying from a junkyard would most likely be cheaper, but my father knows the guys at the local O'Reilly and they end up giving us massive discounts on stuff.

That explains my confusion. Silly 2wders...

It wouldn't hurt to check, but I wouldn't think so. I've always just used junk yard parts for that kind of stuff. I would tend to think that even with discounts, used may be cheaper, but I don't know what the yards around you are like.

It would be nice having a brand new part, especially one you wouldn't have to pull.

I think it's more people that don't know what they're talking about than silly 2wders, lol. I say that cuz I'm a silly 2wder and I know the difference between 'em.:icon_twisted:
