Are there any Mac Book Pro users out there?

What's the worst that could happen?
I could really use some help. I'm a PC guy, but am familiar with Macs, but can't seem to figure out this issue:
Using Firefox as a browser (yes I know...not Safari). I updated the Firefox browser. Before doing that, I saved all the bookmarks to an HTML file. I want to import those bookmarks into the newer version of Firefox.
I found the help file on how to accomplish this and it's very straightforward and simple. However...

I'll explain more when and if someone is brave enough to step in... :p Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert on this. But, did you not use the "sync and save" feature in Firefox? Seems like an easier way to move bookmarks around from device to dvice or aftet an update. Do you have another device usung Firfox where you can tutn on sync and save? Then to sunc to the device you've updated? Seems like more of a Firefox thing thsn a Macbook thing.

The only Apple device I have is my work phone and I use Google Chrome on it, as with all my other computer stuff - Android phone, tablet, sevetal computers with various operating sysyems.

But I have Firefox on several devices, also. Just logged into Firefox on this phone and signed into sync and save. My bookmarks showed up.

I'll try that now. Thanks.
EDIT:
I could not locate the Sync and Save function but did stumble across "Import bookmarks from HTML." The Mac help file that explained that process indicated that his function was located under the Firefox menu in the upper right corner (the hamburger menu). It was not - not even close.

At any rate -- problem solved.

Thank you again.

I just call my daughter...

I make her an ice coffee... she calls me a boomer.

It works pretty good@

Click on the three lines in the upper right. Well, it may not be in the upper right on a Mac, but it is on Linux. Then go to Bookmarks, then Manage Bookmarks. There's a button to import or export bookmarks so you can move it to another computer. The keyboard command is CTRL+Shift+O on Linux and probably Windows too.

Also, I just don't get the appeal of a Mac. I have to support Mac users at work from time to time and I hate it because Apple takes something that has been used since the beginning of computing and makes it different just to be different.

@Bill Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I learned on a Mac way back in the early 90s thru my work. We played golf - which is how you learn, right? Then switched over to PC. So much easier to do things. It appealed to my DIY genes.
I am familiar with the process you are describing. The issue was that that command "Bookmarks" was not present in that drop down. One command prompt would allow me to import bookmarks from another browser (Safari and Chrome), but not from an HTML file.
I did stumble across that capability in another unrelated area...which makes total sense considering the source.
I dislike Macs a lot. I bought this one for my wife because I thought it would be easier for her to learn on - big mistake.

What the heck is FINDER anyway?

The also utilize the Firefox sync option to manage Firefox.

I appreciate the ability to run Linux on apple hardware.
Don't have enough brain cells to learn another Operating System :P
