As I mentioned in a few posts before. I bought a 1992 4.0l 4x4.

I have found a guy about three miles away that owns a small junk yard that has a 94 4.0l 4x4. My fangs are dripping saliva. There are a few covers and hoses I need. I would also like to snatch the full exhaust.
Both are extended cabs.

I realize the body styles are different ..
My question is will the mechanical parts all swap ? I think so looming at the web picks but want to confirm with those who know.

My thinking is that I have to remove the cat to get to the tranny modulator and TC and 3/4 solenoids. If the junk exhaust is better that mine why lut the crusty old rusty one back on.

Yes and no. All of the accessories are the same except the AC compressor (94 is R134a, yours had R12 in it.) '94 could have a cam position sensor if by chance the engine was ever swapped from an Explorer. May have two O2 sensors instead of one, and that harness will be different as well if it does.

Trans should be the same, engine is not - different head design in '93 up.
