Are Inner Tie Rods the same one both sides?

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 4WD. I am looking at replacing both outer and inner tie rods before getting an alignment. My question is:
Are inner tie rods the same for the left and right on my 94 Ranger? I was looking for parts and am unsure if I should order two of the same inner tie rods or one that specifically says “left” and one that says “right”?
The reason I am wondering is because the MOOG “right” inner tie rod is about double the price of the “left” inner tie rod and looks different...
Anybody have experience doing this?

They are different. If you are worried about cost, why not take it in for an alignment, and they will check it over before doing the alignment. An alignment can't be done if there are bad parts, so that is the first step in doing an alignment. The shops I go to will tell me what's wrong, and then let me take it home and do the work myself and bring it back in. They charge me a small fee for checking it over the first time. Using the shot gun approach and just replacing everything does work, but is also expensive. No use replacing parts that are good?
