Are Ford, GM and Chrysler going to make it?

This is my whole view on the bailouts: If you loaned a crackhead 20 bucks would you ever see it again? Now if you loaned out hundreds of billions to companies owned by crackheads would you ever see that? Those who are getting money from the government are the only ones that win in this situation because at the moment they have nothing to lose and even if our economy goes under they're still no worse off than they were in the beginning.

What I don't understand about the big 3 bailout is this... What more is it going to do than keep the majority of their employees in a job for a little bit longer? They are still going to have to cut many jobs to reduce costs and whatnot. There are so many other companies cutting back and laying off thousands of people.

The fact of the matter is that many people can't afford a new vehicle. When you look at the price of a new vehicle, and how much it depreciates after you drive it off the lot, you start to realize what a waste it all is. Don't even bother factoring in interest, it'll make you want to cry. Without the majority of the people being financially secure with stable employment, giving them the ability to buy new cars and other things, this bailout isn't going to get them anywhere. Just pile on more debt...

Something I find funny is the nerve of these CEO's. You know if the CEO of a japanese car company lost his company money like GM or Ford or even Chrysler, they pretty much give him the dagger so that he can commit seppuku in his disgrace. Here we give them 13 million dollar bonuses. Wow.
