Are 2wd coils the same as 4x4

Just out of curiosity, since I can't find squat for 2WD lift coils, are 4x4 coils the same thing?

I'm in the market for some 6" coils, found some lightly used Skyjackers for a 4x4 ranger. Guy went SAS a week after he got them, didn't like the look of it with the TTB. His is a 1993 4x4.

Thing is I can get this used kit for about 500 less than that procomp kit, which is why I asked if 4x4 matches.

4x4 kits don't work with 2wd trucks if you are looking at going that route. I would imagine the coils would be the same but the brackets are different.

All I am buying off him are the coils. The brackets and everything I would be going elsewhere.

I'm just getting the coils insanely cheap from him.

The bottom wrap on the 4x4 coils is off center. You can use them but you may have some contact on the inner knuckle. If it bothers you, it only takes a little heat on the bottom wrap to get it bent back to center where you need it.

The 2wd coils are longer since the beam is shorter than a 4wd beam. I'm not sure what the difference is, I'm thinking around an inch. So since you have an extended cab, you might get 4" from SJ coils.

They are the same. Installed the coils are the same length. The reason why the 4x4s sit taller are because of the bigger beams.
