i currently do not have a TV cable. I do understand the TV cable connects to the transmission and hooks to the carburator right by where the throttle cable hooks to. Where can i get the correct linkage plate to where the throttle cable and TV cable hook to? I have read about people making custom plates for mustangs and whatnot. I was thinking of getting a plate off a carburated bronco or something. Plz help! This is my only resource that helps!

i found a lokar TV cable on summitracing.com so thats all set. Does anyone kno of a company that makes the right carb bracket to connect the throttle and TV to? I dont really wanna have to fab one up but i do hear u can get them off carbed 302's with the AOD.

You may have to check the junkyards for that bracket. Most places are only going to have the cable and the trans bracket.,

I'm running into the same thing. Except I need the bracket for an edelbrock carb. I found a couple sites that sell them. Don't know if this helps. http://www.phoenixtrans.com/html/newproducts.html looks like it includes the lokar cable. Also http://www.ford-aod.com It looks like you can buy just the bracket for holley and edelbrock for $33-$35. Holley has the bracket on their website edelbrock doesn't.

thanks for those links. Keep me informed when u get yours all hooked up and let me know what carb, bracket, and cable u used! Ill let u kno what i do on mine but it will be alittle while.

is it on a car or your 4x4?

on that ford-aod link i saw #89 , the closeup pics of the holley carb with the linkage. What the hell is that straight rod going from the top of the lokar bracket to something? This is confusing.

the lokar setup is best ime so far.

347 stroker? or is it a b2 or eb? 302 is a lil light for a fullsize....especially if you want to wheel it. otherwise it would be easier to run injection on it.

i have done some bg on stangs and adapted a cfi setup to some holleys years ago.

the lokar setup didnt have a bar that i had to use...the late model stuff looks real good though....shits come a long way the last few years.

Does the lokar bracket TV cable connect to that short lever just below that electrical connector? that other big thing off to the left must be where the floor shifter hooks to am i correct on these?

you run around out in highland? i drive by there alot....been over to offroad unlimited in fenton yet? if you plan on runnin hard in kentucky/tenn/penn and the badlands and shit you may want to inject that thing first.

the old ones used that bracket and a small bolt that was a pia to get on...real tight in the stangs.....never tried it in a 4x4.....wouldnt carb one with an aod.....435 all the way so you can spin it in granny.
