Man I hate to ask this, but the freakin guys at the shop I bought my engine from tore it all out before I could take pictures! After I told them to wait :pissedoff: ANYways, I was wondering if i could get a bunch of pics of the engine bay of a 94 explorer. The one I got is out of a Sport 2 door. Don't know if that matters

THANK YOU ALL in advanced
I want my B2 to :3gears:!!

I have pictures of the 94 I put in my BII. If you will e-mail me at Steven.Lewis@Tinker.af.mil I will forward to you.

I only have 27 pics but it sounds like that is 27 more than you currently have.

I have a 94 Explorer Sport. Unfortunately, I don't think I can get pics for you until Friday or Saturday. Damn school keeps me so freakin busy I usually don't get home until it's dark. Are there any parts in particular you want me to take pics of?

My main problem is that they didn't lable anything that they unpluged from the computer. I have the wire harness and comp. I just want to plug it all back in before I put it in to make sure everything still works.

I dont know how you can get pictures of that stuff, but my Chiltens(sp) book doesnt have a diagram of everything from the computer and where it plugs in. and if it does, its in the wire language with resistors and all sketched in instead of just showing plugs

Most of the electrical plugs are unique, and the vacuum system isn't too big. With one significant exception, you should be good to go. The CTS and ACT sensors may have the same plugs (because they are identical sensors).

Frankly, I don't know how you're going to hook this thing up electrically without it sitting on its engine mounts. There isn't very much slack in the harnesses. And there is more than just the PCM harness. Oxygen sensors, for instance, and all the instrumentation and power distribution harnesses.

no no no lol I want to plug it all in sitting on the trailer. Connect a battery up to it and Do the non running comp tests. And so when I put it in I will know where everything goes.

They gave me every freakin wire the truck had in it down to the headlight and tail light bulbs haha even got the fuse box which I might use for all my accessories. I want to run switches to turn on and off the CD player instead of Ignition based, and switches to the the door open switch so I can turn it off when I run with no doors.

Ok so I have been doing some research on the 4.0 and I think I might be missing a key part.

Is the EDIS Module bolted on to the fender or is it on the engine itself? I am at work and cant look at the engine right now. I need to know if I have to run back downtown to tear it out of the truck before someone else does.

Neither. It's attached to the rad mount. Assuming you mean the ignition module. There is also a coil pack, and that's part of the EDIS system as well.

The Coil pack is where the 6 plug wires connect to it instead of the Distributor right? I know I have that. Where is the rad mount?

Sorry for all the Questions. I am on my lunch break and this is the only time I can ask Questions. I can't bring my Manual in to read it either haha
