Ive searched but couldn't come up with anything about this.

I like everyone else with the vacuum pulse hubs, hate them. I thought about going with the live axle set-up,but I've replaced most of my front end comments. Also thought of going with the avm/rugged
Ridge setup but heard mixed things.I've also done the manual mod to my hubs, but don't they don't work great. They slip and grab at the worst times, blown more than one cv axle

Rather than spend the cash on the avm shit and continue to use my modded hubs I've looked into the warn hubs. I've heard very little about them for my year ranger, but heard they are leaps and bounds better than the avm's

Has anyone had a good experience with them. I've been looking on warn's website and came up with these. They are very well priced compared to the others if they hold up

For non US vehicles only....

As far as I know, Warn does NOT make a hub for the 98-00 rangers.

I don't know bout your year ranger but warn makes a hub that FITS. Its meant for the jeep wrangler and is supposed to be pretty good. Do a search and you should find something bout it.

for a 1998-2000 Rangers there are three choices...

a)Live with the pulse vacuum garbage.

Convert to 01-up Ranger parts or 1995-up Explorer parts (knuckles hubs AND CV shafts)

or go for the AVM manual locking hubs.

I've got a set of used AVM's... they were an absolute bastard to get off the donor vehicle.

But I've got no actual use for them

The '99 my friend is building has already been converted to 2000-up

And my project frame is a 2001.

I know about the jeep hubs for the pre 98 trucks but wasn't aware of them for the 98 up.

Is it just the knuckles and cv shafts for the live axle? I replaced one of my cv shafts not to long ago as well as most of the front end parts.

Allan you've got a pm.

Rugged Ridge Hubs ALL THE WAY!!!

Fork over the $150 and get the rugged ridge hubs. i have them on my 98 ranger and love them. if you accidently leave them engaged but disengage the transfer case they dont fight you too much around turns. i highly recommend them
