Anyone seen one of these rangers?

Yes, unfortunately mine doesn't have that option. They came standard with behind seat tank, which is what mine is. They could also be optioned with auxiliary saddle tanks, or with saddle tanks only and a contractor box behind the seat. Apparently the latter is about the rarest option.

I put a Holley Sniper with timing control on my 390, so hopefully once it gets dialed in that'll help the MPG a little. Not sure what teh future plans for this truck are. In a way I'd like to keep an FE in it, just seems right. On the flip side, in a few years (if I get lucky) I'll probably be able to swap in a 7.3L Gas for about the same price as building a decent FE and get same power with better efficiency. Biggest caveat with the 7.3 is I want to keep a manual transmission, and I've heard they won't be putting one behind it. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens with the aftermarket for both when the time comes.

Back on topic of gas tanks, since I'm running the EFI I'll probably swap to an early mustang EFI conversion tank between the rear frame rails eventually.

Pic of spare tire rack in bed please. Never seen that.

You can see the hanger in this (bottom) picture. The day I took this, the tire was sitting on the ground under the truck. There's a screw with a nice big ring that goes through one of the lug holes in the spare's rim, and into the hanger to hold it in place.

Cool. Looks a lot like the bracket you would find in the bottom of the trunk of many cars.

Same type bracket on my 77 f250 with dual tanks.
Thanks for the pic.
