I disagree. The ones who pay more taxes are the ones who can afford it, and usually, they're NOT working harder, they just spent more time in school before they started working.
I'm sure they busted their ass in school too.
Is that really fair to tax someone a higher percentage just because they make more money?
That's kinda ****ed up really. I DON'T want to work hard and advance anymore because I'll get bent over on taxes. I know several people who have TURNED DOWN better jobs and raises because they will bring home more money with a lower salary.
These people didn't get it handed to them either, they started at the bottom and worked 80+ hours a week for many years to earn their position.
Also, I know a guy who have been laid off from work, went to school and collected unemployment... between that, financial aid, pension, and the couple other programs he's in, he figured he makes 10k more a year...
I really actually want to be a freerider and leech off the government. I'll make better money and have better benefits.
Not even kidding. To hell with work, give me my foodstamps, WIC, healthcare, and housing aid and I'll be set.
Just because you don't have money doesn't give you a right to take it from someone who does (coming from a college student working at a freakin grocery store making ten cents above minimum wage)
Aside from that, I'm getting about $300 back. Awesome.
