Anyone know what year bumper this is?

So I found this at a scrap yard and picked it up thinking it looked a lot like the bumper on my truck and sure enough it has the exact same mounts and holes. Its solid steel and way stronger than my factory bumper. I was just wondering is anyone knew what year this could be?

Gen 1? I have a similar bumper on my '84. Either that it's a popular aftermarket replacement.

I’d guess Gen 1 as well. Sure looks a lot like the one I remember having on my stock 1983 many years ago. The one on my current 1992 looks different.

That's awesome. I was think late 80's but I wasn't sure. I had a 91 once and it had a different bumper. Well for it being around 20-30 years old it is in really good shape. It's twice as solid as my factory one and seems like it will last longer. Not sure if I should paint it or leave it how it is. I kind of like the aged look it has. Crazy how similar it was to my bumper with the mounting holes, even the license plate light fixtures popped right in it.

Every truck was tough as hell till the mid 90s and yuppies started buying them.

Second gen had the same bumper. My 1990's bumper looks exactly like that. My 1991 had the same bumper but it had a rubber top.

Yup, blacked out gen 1/2 bumper. It is missing the plastic bumper pads that cover the bolts.

Looks like the one I had on my 83. It had the original dealer stamped into it.
