Ok so I got this at a yard sale yesterday and it works great. Just needed cleaned up and lubed. The tag is partially gone so I don't know much about it. I am trying to find what brand it is or model but cant find anything. I know this is not ranger related but I have looked all over google and had no luck. Here is the info. Its mostly made of metal and not plastic. It's a 10" sliding compound miter saw. the saw can bevel 45 degrees one way and the table cane bevel both ways. Anyone know what brand this is? I know dewalt is yellow but couldn't find anything. I just want to download a manual for it.

There has to be a serial number or some type of assembly code or part number somewhere on it. Most likely a DeWalt, or Irwin. but you would have to find that number then cross reference it with Miter Saw Manufacturers.

That partial tag was the only thing I saw. I didn't tear the saw apart to find a number but I looked all over. I thought the casing looked like Dewalt and the blade looked like Irwin. I just like reading manuals on things and seeing the parts break downs.

That blade is 100% an Irwin. That is their yellow and blue color scheme, and the number on it comes up with a bunch of Irwin blades on the Google.

Not sure about the saw. Dewalt does make yellow stuff.

Can you cross reference the blade to which models it fits? and then go down the list. IDK just a thought, I know a lot of blades will fit a lot of different saws

It would probably be about as effective to cross reference which ones plug into the same outlet.

Blades are kind of a one size fits all thing. There may be a few different sized arbors but they are all pretty common.

Saw is a dewalt.

I'am surprised its Dewalt they are quiet proud of their tools and have their name stamped all over them, looks to be an older model because the newer ones have a horizontal handle. some of the older ones were better made, nice find.

Looks like a "Chicago Tool" from Harbor Freight.

That was my thought too, I looked up at least now they are red and black.

Look up Dewalt and all you see is new stuff.

Agree with the above, Dewalt is proud of their stuff, it would have more than just the serial decal saying Dewalt.

Yeah I'm still not sure. I don't think it is an older Chicago tools because the thing is 90 percent metal. Only thing plastic is the handle. I know the blade is the Irwin Marathon blade. I was just hoping someone on here would be like "Oh man, I have that same saw and its a _______." But that didn't happen. Definitely a good score. $20, 5 minutes of cleaning/lubing and it works like a champ. Probably going to replace the blade. Haven't had a chance to cut a lot of wood. Did a test cut when I bought it. Blade had a lot of surface rust on the sides. The guy said he had it given to him a few years ago and never used it. These old school ones normally have more power and are just better built. If anyone happens to figure this out just let me know. I am going to take the blade off and see if there is something stamped behind the blade like a blade reference chart hopefully with the model#.
