right now my funds are low to rebuild my 2wd m50dr1 into a 4wd version. that being said can i put a toyo kogyo in my truck just to limp by for a while so i can get a fix here and there. my main issue is how do i get the slave to work. how would it hook to the truck. it's a 94 b2300

Buy a 4x4 Mazda and you'll be done. Mess around with this excessively complex (and expensive) "build" or downgrade to a worse transmission (that costs the same!) while downgrading parts that don't fit properly, etc., and you won't be done.

well finding a 2.3 4x4 is pretty damn hard around here. i've only seen 1 in my life. but thanks for NOT helping

Not sure but would you not just get a line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave that is for the TK? You might be able to get one made up.

If you have access to a truck with a TK, remove the master cylinder from the fire wall of the donor and pull the whole hydraulic assembly as one unit. You can put it in your truck and it will work perfectly, no bleeding.
The TK will work just fine behind the 2300. You will also need the shifter boot and floor plate from the donor.

i've a toyo kogyo 4 speed on my ranger and it's not a very good trans, if you drive your truck the hard way the toyo kogyo won't tuff very long. Best choice is to find a better trans then this. If you want mine i can give it to you if you want i'm from QC. The trans have a bad 2nd gear synchro. i can give you all the hydraulic too.

The TK4 has a pretty wimpy reverse. The tk5 is better. I beat the crap out of a TK5 behind a 3.0 in my offroad truck. It has never given me a problem.
I rebuild manual trannies. The TK5 is quite comparable inside to the Mazda. I've rebuilt 4 Mazdas to every one TK5. The number of TK5s that I've rebuilt is uncountable.
I use 1 quart of Lucas oil stabilizer and fill the trans with 10w30 synthetic motor oil.
