I bought my first buffing/polishing kit to polish some parts of my aluminum boat. Things were working well for me untill I did a foolish thing I think. I tried polishing a section below the waterline which had 20 years of crap in the alumunim and I wanted to see if I could buff it right out. Didn't work very well and after I cant seem to buff well with it anymore. It's like it's contaminated or something and it doesn't make the aluminmum shiny anymore. Any advice?

yeah i was thinking the same thing. you obviously messed up your pad with that shit on the lower part of the boat

yep new pad. One of the more important things when buffing is to clean your pad during it or swap pads. once a pad gets dirty it doesnt work very well so always clean or swap pads as you go.
