i know i know this should probably be in a different category but figured someone would see it sooner here. is there any problem with using my 351m bellhousing and 4 speed trans with the 460 i swapped in?

Shouldn't be a problem.

460 bellhousing

fits right up so long as you use 460 pilot bearing made that mistake on my 78 supercab 4X4.

That's part of the difference between the 351M/400 and the 351C.

The 351M/400 Block has a taller deck and has the "Big Block"
bellhousing pattern common to the FE/FT, and 385-series engines
(370/429/460)

So, if I'm reading this right, a 460 and 390FE have the same bellhousing pattern? I always thought they were different? If this is true then there is no reason I can't use a 460 spec ZF-5 tranny on the back of a 390? Sweet!!!
