Anyone from the Portland area

I live in Salem, work in Tualatin. I usually wheel around snow peak but go to Christmas Valley once a year and end up at the dunes every now and then. Now that my truck is back together and functional I want to get up to TSF this year since it hasn't been up there since I lifted it!

I'm in Longview myself... Just needing to build some ramps for the trailer so I can haul the "Danger Ranger" around. It runs, just doesn't leave the driveway much. As for summer fun, I am down to go out and take it on some runs! Central Oregon is a great place to rally too!

Corvallis checking in; would love to go wheeling as far as my 235's can get me ;)

I am in Vancouver. I really dont drive my B2 much anymore now that i got a DD

87_B2K pretty sure I saw you up squaw the other night. I was rallying one of my friend's cars. If ya'll wanna do a meet this summer, I could set it up.

Just north of Battle Ground.
Black 86 Extended Cab XLT Ranger, 2.3 bored 30 over, RV cam, MSD. Everything else is stock for the moment, trying to source up turbo parts to give the gutless wonder a few more HP. :icon_idea:

good luck with that! They blocked everything off up there because people started trashing it. I live in sandy

Just sounding off. PDX with my 85 B2, still 2.8, but......everything else is new ;)

I too am from the Portland area, well sorta-----Lyle,WA. I am an old guy who likes to explore the back country and avoid breaking stuff as much as possible but do take some chances. Boring for some of you.
Right now I need some help with a project. I have an '88 4x2 that wants to take a run at Bonneville in the 130mph club. I need an '87 or '88 2.3L Turbo or D port head. Mine is cracked. I have a casting# for the Turbo Head but don't know #s for the D port heads. This project is for my "bucket list" just to say I've done it. If y'all can send me in the right direction or have a head for sale it will be appreciated.

I have a head but it's not for sale as I'm actually one head short for the engines I have :)

Why are you looking for a D port head? just so you can run a distributor? I think the 8 plug heads flow better, and the DIS has more spark energy... I'm running a D port with DIS just on the passenger side, it's really not that hard to swap to the '89-94 DIS setup.

With an engine set up like the one in my Ranger in a 4x2 with appropriate gearing I have no doubt it could get in the 130mph club, my Ranger hauls butt even with the large amount of rotating mass and wind resistance :)

I'm a fellow Salem resident. Nice to see other trs'ers from Salem.

Nice to see a post here this year! Looks like summer might be early...
