Anyone ever seen one of these?

Awesome.

Cool!

"The Dempsey has landed."

Plumbers like to run those things on one tons around here.

Would be cool if you had a good excuse to fix it up and run it. V8 swap it.

Truck has no title, hasn't been registered in 27 years, and it's kind of a basket case mechanically. I'll be pulling the bed to put it on a trailer I've made from half a ranger long bed and turning it into a micro camper, haha. I'll be documenting the process of this though. The drivetrain will be going to scrap and I'll be saving the frame and cab, as it's quite solid for a new york truck. Unfortunately I have too many projects, this is kind of a supporting project for my off road truck I currently own and shouldn't take too much time to make useable.

I'm actually jealous; that's going to make a bitchin' mini camper. You made a great score.

I do not understand this reference, haha

My bad. It's actually "Dempster". George Dempster invented the dumpster, in 1935.

Looking forward to your progress on building this thing. If it were mine, I'd keep it in that dark green color, and put upside-down "NO SCAVENGING" and "NO DUMPSTER DIVING" stickers all over it (but that's just my warped sense of humor, I guess).

It kinda fell into my lap and it just worked out. Im going to keep it the green color for now, its hard to see in the pics but the bed was colormatched to the truck, truck is its original factory color. I won't be putting anything like that on it but it'll definitely be different, with a mad max overlanding vibe.

What year is the truck?

Late production 88, manufactured 7/88

Well, I think I'm going to start a build thread on the micro camper project in the other vehicle projects subforum.
