I was looking at CL and ran across this Ranger and from the ad he says it is all stock, but the dash does not look like it is original to me. I have owned several RVBs and this is strange. It looks like it was factory made, but not by Ford, maybe after market? Maybe for a large fleet order?
Anyone know?

That looks like something out of a car...like a mustang maybe...

A truck parts company, Styling Concepts, used to sell that dash. It was a generic fit, they used an S-10 to model it.

One of my buddies had that dash in one of his Toyota trucks. I think he said he got it from JC Whitney some years back. It looks like the same one to me. It was a universal type dash. It was easy to install and easy to run some electrics.

i want to call and ask if he had the muffler bearing checked while he was at it.

It is a very bad deal when the turbo bearings go out and let the vanes hit the housing. :fie:

(and yes turbo's muffle more than some mufflers)

you realize that turbos DO have bearings, right?

easiest way to tell if the dash is stock or not, look at how it doesn't line up with the molded door...

No, and now I wish I hadn't seen that one.

If I were looking at that truck, I would have to ask why he replaced the dash. it is a base model Ranger, and for keeping the truck relatively stock most people would not go through the effort of removing the entire dash unless they absolutely had to. I am guessing that truck has had some issues....
