Talking the low-stance 2WD XL/XLT with A-arms and coil springs, not the torsionbar model.

Was looking at one the other day and I started wondering if the way the coil pockets are actually built into the framerails themselves would lend themselves well for a radius arm SAS (converting to 4WD at the same time obviously).

Anyone done this and have any pics to post? All I've been able to find are SAS'ed 4WDs and the occasional TIB 2WD.

I think the frame pockets are not placed to be anywhere near optimal, or even usable. I'm not 100% on that though. I'd like to know if it's possible too... I've got a 1975 parts Bronco lying around...

Measure spring center to spring center then find that measurement on the axle you plan to swap in.
