Anyone Ever Owned A Almost No Repair Truck/Car

I have a 97 Explorer 5.0 with 291,000 on it other than maintanence items it's had an alternator replaced. I can't believe it is still going...

Does general maintenance count ?? I bought my 07 Jeep KJ with 7 miles on it and other than maintenance, IE oil changes, tires, brakes, had NO repairs until around 103000 miles. It now has 110000 and is looking at approx $450.00 worth of new parts. I would call that good considering the lack of respect the KJ's get.

Toyota Previa put 212000 on it and did absolutely zero repairs. I didn't even have to add oil between changes because it's the only car I have found that actually has an oil reservoir that refills the engine if it uses some. if Toyota still made these cars I would buy 5 of them and drive them for the rest of my life. It was even all wheel drive and did great in the snow. I loved it so much I replaced it with the next generation Toyota minivan and although it is much more refined it's just not the same thing.

I bought my first 528e used with 150k miles.I put another 200K on it with replacing the normal stuff with parts from various World Pac suppliers .I only have hand tools basic electric. I maintained the "Borman 6 " in my driveway for 12 yrs. In that time, it never needed a tow. It started every morning and brought me home every night. The best commuter I ever had. It got 25.5 average mpg. Maintaining it was easy. I bought the first 528e in'96. In 2k, I bought a pair of them .One for MDW and a cosmetically challenged, but other wise, ran better and got better mpg than mine did for my son to go to UMass in.. I was like the Maytag repairman, waiting for stuff to break, so I could fix it. I dont have that problem wit the Rat.:D

After 18 years of abuse, my 93 is still a dd with 360K. Started to have some parts wear out at 300K, clutch, u joints, clutch master cylinder rear axle bearing and seals, and cracked two heads in 35K. Often overloaded (2000+ lbs) . Still going strong.

I still own a 2005 Toyota matrix XR. The only thing that needed replaced were CV joints but that was a recall and free. Nothing else but oil changes, tires, and occasional tune ups. I am now at 275k on it.
