the door doesn't work all the time

i'm thinking the door cable gets frozen, but not sure, please read on


in the winter time the inside door release soemtimes works, sometimes doesn't, i noticed it really only happens when it gets to be about 5 or so degrees outside, but if i leave my truck running, and it warms the inside up (really really warm) then the inside door release seems to work (sorta, still hard to get it to open)


but during the rest of the year it works perfectly fine


lately i was at a mechanics shop (for another reason, trans hates me) and told them about it, so they said they greased the lock and said it worked for them (but i think it's because it was warmed up by that time) but it did work for a day or two, but went right back to semi-working condition



basically i'm asking if anyone else knows about this issue, and if so, how could i go about getting it fixed?

Mine recently started giving me problems...would not close fully...so I adjusted the peg on the door frame (it moves when you loosen the torx bolt)...turned out that the plastic wrap around the peg (if you're not sure what peg I'm referring to, open your door and look at the frame where the closure slaps to lock the door in place)../

After replacing the plastic wrap it still would not close properly so I adjusted the peg...took a few tries, but at one point the door would not open without bumping it...and it appeared as if the inside handle was not working at all...

If you try this, make sure you open your window before adjusting the peg...because if it gets stuck it's really hard to open with just the outside handle (I'd assume you do this from the outside to test)...
