I have been thinking of doing the same thing. I wonder if I could put down some dynamat or other sound deadining mat first. That stuff has a little give to it though, would that make a difference. Does the bedliner have to be on solid metal to work or would the little bit of flex that the dynamat has be ok? Would the liner crack if it is put on something soft? Also I have seen spray on sound deadining with a liner type top coat. I will try to get more info on that.
i did it and it i like it alot. easy to clean but there is a slight increase in noise and some heat coming threw the floor but other than that its awesome and looks cool
i,ve done it to mey Geo tracker, Subaru Forester, and it is being done right now on my '83 Ranger. with all the winter salt and snow, then the spring mud, it is almost a necessity here to keep the rust at bay. my utility trailers will be next. no regrets whatsoever!!
