im looking at changing the heater core on the '93 taurus, looks to be just as bad as any other one ive done in a car. any hints, tips or tricks? if i could afford to, id trade this thing in on a CRV. the drivers door weatherstriping has had better days also. why do thse things show up when it gets cold out?

thanks for the link. hopefully i can get stuff done before it gets too cold out. i hate having no garage.

i went to pick and pull and got a bunch of stuff for my ranger and weather stripping for my Taurus yet again. i walked out after paying 5$ for all.

take a match and light the car on fire. it will be warm and easier than trying to fix the damn thing. plus you get rid of it and can get a better car. i absolutely hate those things. they are fine until you have to fix something, then they suck.

yeah, its nearing the end of its usefull life, if i could afford a different car, id send this one away. its a shame the motor is so good, wish i could find a rust-free areostar that needed a engine. but good luck finding anything 10+ years old rust free in this part of the country.
