Anybody modified radio for mp3 hook up?

Hi! I just bought an '06 FX4 (replaces my '94 XLT after 12 years), and found out that the '07s come with a dash plug for an mp3 connection.

Anybody modified an older factory radio to add the 2.5mm jack for an mp3?

I know..... "why didn't you buy the '07?" Well, this '06 is cherry with 14k miles and paid $3,000 under KBB (private party)...from a dealer! How could I go wrong?

Anyway, I would appreciate any thoughts about the mp3 connection.

well if money is no option, go to the dealer and tell them to put in one with a jack

Hmmm, that's an interesting option, but right now, money IS an option (one I don't have )

I was hoping for an electronics guru around here to give up a secret way to slice into the OEM radio (on the cheap)
