thye are very good tires and you can find the rims in 16.5 i know as i used to own a set, better off buyin the rims new though

they dont quite match. the top tire in the stack has a solid block pattern :dntknw:
my plan was to go down to my local army surplus and see if he could get me a set. so I don't have to pay for shipping

Those tires don't quite make sense to me.....

Humvee's have used Wrangler MT/R's for the longest time. My dad served in the late 80's and I have a buddy that's in the reserves right now....they have both confirmed that they used, and still use the wranglers.....

They could be for a different "special use" hummer, and use a different tire.....

Huh, all the Humvees I have seen either used something that looks very close to Swamper LTBs or BFG Mud Terrains. The only ones I have seen are National Guard trucks though.

Those are the old humvee tires the new ones we have now are wranglers 37 12.5 by 16.5

Bought a set of 5 from a guy I went to school (3rd yr of apprenticeship) with for $200 on rims....Asked if anyone needed any on a local wheeler site, and was offered $800....they dissappeared quick.

I am in the army, and I can vouch that the Military do use Wrangler Mud Terrains, 37 x 12.5 x 16.5. They are very noisy tires, especially on a 10-12 hour convoy. Theres no radio in a humvee to drown it out either...

my friend put a set of those on his 85 gmc with a 6" lift, 350 and 3/4 ton axle swap and loved them. same size too. from what he was told those were the desert tires. never had a problem with flat spots in the winter either

You can go here: http://militarytires.com/

They don't have prices listed right now, they used to though. I remember them being rather cheap I think, I would email then and find out :D
