Anybody else seen one of these???

Well.............

I have to admit that my AGE has caught up to me, my knees & back ain't what they used to be..............bout the only way I'd have a 4spd nowa days, is if I owned a 67 SS396 Chevelle or similar TRUE MUSCLE CAR............other than that, I'll take a WELL BUILT T350 or Glide!

I have an auto..... with a slapstick, shift kit, stall.
And I hate it!!!!!!!

Every vehicle i've ever owned was a manual, except for my 88 ranger, and my drag car.
it's embarrassing to drive an automatic to me.
But everybody likes something different, it's what makes the world keep turning.
and auto to manual comparison is like this- different reasons for each, different pro's/con's and preferences...... one will never/ever be better than the other.

I like to feel the engine, feel the traction/or lack there-of, also saving brakes, and truelly controlling a slide in adverse conditions. and I just love banging the gears..... and that instant yank of power when you crack the throttle. but that's just the kind of guy I am.

Frank

If you wanna test drivers, go manual and leave the control up to the driver. Bad part with that is, truely talented drivers are too few and far between.

Well put. A stick is so much more fun and tests you much more.

Granted the only times I've run a quarter mile (in a decent time :icon_rofl:) I was rachet-shifting a turbo 350 (it was my buddies s-10), which is a blast and feels pretty good, I still prefer a standard trans... IMO it gives you a better feel and control over the vehicle.

Bulit auto for 1/4 mi cars. An I drive an 18 speed Freightliner 4.10 in back air lockers both rears 455 cat.
