Anybody else out of work due to the beer disease?

I just went to Walmart... place was rather empty. Still no eggs butter or any kind of meat... except frozen fish. So I'm making home made coleslaw for some fish tacos.

I have some staple stuff... I was really hoping for some chicken pork or burger.

Still no toilet paper or hand sanitizer any where I went.

Around here our Walmart was poorly stocked before all this. It is much worse now but the regular grocery stores seem to be okay. I think our Walmart is obsessed with those driveup orders or whatever they call them where they pack the stuff and you just pick it up. We stopped at a Dollar store while waiting for a takeout order to be ready and they were well stocked with all sorts of things people seem to want. We bought cat treats (yes we do have cats).

I was at meijers yesterday for our normal weekly shopping trip, no toilet paper, a pallet was in middle of floor with paper towels, no meat at the deli counter and no hawaiian punch. plenty of smirnoff red, white&berry. love that stuff, and Im not a drinker. oh- no rubbing alcohol either, hasnt been any for the last 3 weeks. We usually have a date night every friday. Its so weird to not have that now, The nearest restaurant from my place is about 7 miles, just too far to do a take-out and come home. Im personally stressed right now and like everyone else I dont know whats next.

Turning 40 was weird today. One of the first things I did was take stock of our toilet paper supply. We're good on everything else but I wasn't sure on that one...

Really? Ive ran 20 miles for take out more then once lol.
When you grow up in a small town of under 2000 people and there are no restaurants, take out means driving 15 miles one way... and that was just how it was

At your age... depends become a viable option.

ok is a relative term.

that reminds me. I need to eat all the ice cream in the freezer to make room for more pickled pigs feet.

do they freeze OK? or is there too much salt?

They're pickled.... why would you freeze something thats already preserved? Whats wrong with you?
