Hi guys;

I'm getting closert to being done my turbo conversion now and I need to find a couple of sensors. Does anyone have a good source for sensors that won't cost me a fortune? I need an ACT and a MAP sensor. I've also hear that a GM 3 bar MAp sensor is available. How is that wired into the Ford system? What GM vehicle would have had that sensor?

If you are going to be running ANY factory Ford 2.3turbo computer
there is no "MAP" (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor.

the 2.3 uses an identical sensor as a "BAP" (Barometric Absolute Pressure)

AND the computer only "looks" at the output from that sensor in the split
second as you turn the key through the "on" position on your way to "Start"

The ACT sensor? Get one from your local auto parts store, they are only $12-$15

Thanks AD. Will I be able to get a BAP sensor from any jobber as well or will I need to comb the internet looking for one?

you should be able to get one at any auto parts.

Or put a post in WTB (or right here in the Forced induction forum)

I'm sure someone has a spare they'd be willing to part with.

The BAP is exactly the same as the Speed Density (86-88) ranger MAP.
