any one have experience with Tokay geckos?

Bought one from the pet shop about 2 months ago. There was 4 in a cage. Just upgraded to a bigger cage. Previously the gecko started hiding all day and night in its log. Did this after the first month. Put it in a new cage and it still did it. So I took out the log. Noticed today an egg with a web over it. Looks almost like the buttered popcorn jelly belly.

Its only one egg. The web confuses me as I've looked it up online and haven't seen anywitha web covering them . My fear is that the web is mold? Or its from a spider? Trying to figure out which it is before i discard of it. Also the gecko just sticks to the glass watching over the "egg"
