Any artists here that could help with a logo?

I'm trying to come up with a logo for a small business... I've had my moments when it comes to drawing, but I know there is plenty of people out there better than I am when it comes to drawing...

Aside from that, I'm also looking for logo ideas, if anyone has what they think would be a better idea than the one I have come up with so far, feel free to sketch it up.

The business is geared towards doing some landscaping (more decoration stuff like mulching, retaining walls, decorative walkways an the like rather than lawn mowing), and sort of handyman stuff (shed construction, concrete work/repair, home maintenance).

The one thought that came up so far has been a Leprechaun wearing a toolbelt and wielding a pick or shovel over one shoulder.

I realize that it takes time to draw this sort of thing, so I'll try to figure out something as far as potential compensation (maybe a sticker for anyone submitting a drawing or something).

I like your idea of the Leprechaun...

I designed a winning logo for a former employer that held a contest...but, of course, the mentality of the rest of the steelworkers didn't give much in the way of competition...but I'm also a lousy artist...

What is the name of the company, and what are your favourite colors...those two things could be played into a background theme (like the name in the shape of a shed or foliage in the background...with the little green guy in front proudly wielding his tools of the trade...but make him look hardy and a bit dirty to show that he works for his money and doesn't sit in the customer's back yard drinking green beer and peeing in his pool...if you know what I mean...

:icon_rofl: :icon_cheers:

J.J. Gavin Contractor is the name that I think has been settled on. My favorite color is blue :icon_bounceblue:, I think I'm going to stick with blue for the color of trucks and equipment.

Anybody??

Even if you need time to work on it, let me know that you're doing so, lol.

Do you have a crest or anything like that for your company name?

Something else you may try would be to use photos of previous jobs (if you have any finished product photos) and lay them out around a template then kind of blend them together. Throw in a photo of you working (design, layout, building, etc) and a couple of worker/co-workers to complete the picture. Might not look bad.
